Ah, Slack: it can simultaneously skyrocket your productivity as well as sink it underwater.

(Blame it on the /giphy command.)

From helping you stay in sync to keeping track of your own stuff through hundreds of integrations, it can change the way you work and make you so much more productive.

But then again, there’s the irresistible /giphy command.

Slack can do almost anything. And now it can help you monitor your brand.

That’s right, everyone! Mention and Slack are making their relationship legit – finally! – with a full, customizable integration.

How it works

You’ll be able to do 2 awesome things with this new power couple: read new mentions, and get digests.

Read new mentions in Slack

First of all, you can read new mentions in the tool you already have open all day.

Slack-mention-notification

Get real-time notifications in Slack whenever someone’s having an online convo your brand needs to know about.

But maybe you’re a little too popular for that. If you don’t want a notification for every mention, you can also choose a minimum influencer score. That way, you only get notifications for influential mentions.

Get daily recaps

The other half of the Slack integration is daily recaps.

Slack-mention-digest

Use them to get a big picture view of online conversations. It includes a summary of your analytics from the previous day, and includes your alert’s most important mentions.

How to add Mention to Slack

I bet you’re ready to get your hands on this, right? Great news! It’s available now for all plans.

To connect any alert to Slack:

  1. Hover over your alert’s name in the sidebar and click the pencil icon to edit the alert.
  2. Click the “Add to Slack” button.
  3. Choose your settings and press “Save.”

Yup, it’s actually that easy!

Just like Slack itself, the integration can be as simple or powerful as you want it to be.
