Especially if you don\u2019t have a designer to help you out.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/en\/blog\/twitter-visuals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Even some of my design tips<\/a><u><\/u>\u00a0may be a little outside of the bandwidth of a lot of smaller brands.<br \/>\nThat is why I wanted to come up with some hacks that literally anyone can implement in a few minutes.<br \/>\nAll you really need to take advantage of these tips is a design program and the desire to create something amazing.<br \/>\nAnd that&#8217;s it! So let\u2019s get started.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>1. Center all of your icons, illustrations or graphics<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Not centering your content, icons or graphics is one avoidable thing that I see hurt a lot of marketers.<br \/>\nThis may seem like an extremely simple tip but so many brands forget it! Especially if they are in a rush or not a designer at heart.<br \/>\nAnd now with the fragmentation of users across mobile and other devices it is best to use a central focal point. Always use more than one font or color for text<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If the previous tip was a little too hard for you then maybe you should skip this one too.<br \/>\n<strong>Just kidding!<\/strong><br \/>\nAll you need to know how to do is change the a font color or two in your graphics. Literally that is it!<br \/>\nWhen we&#8217;re creating infographics we use different font colors to draw attention to important info or stats.<br \/>\nIt works especially well because your eye is drawn to the one thing that is different than the others. And that is the point.<br \/>\nThey want those keywords or interesting phrases to jump of their feed and grab your attention. All the other words are just filler, but those keywords will make you want to learn more.<br \/>\nThey know exactly what they are doing with the different colors. However, each social graphic still uses a bold color to highlight a keyword or phrase.<br \/>\nAnd each of the other colors pull the reader down further into the text, which is always a plus.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>3. Integrate brand colors in every graphic<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You have already spent a ton of time finding colors that fit your brand perfectly.<br \/>\nMaybe it\u2019s a dark blue that projects trustworthiness. \u00a0Or a vivid red that shows off your competitive spirit.<br \/>\nWhatever the colors may be, they are obviously a big part of your <a href=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/en\/\">visual identity<\/a>.<br \/>\nSo why would you avoid using them in your social media graphics?<br \/>\nIt really doesn\u2019t make a whole lot of sense to me. Never use a raw stock image<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>I hate stock photos so I am not going to recommend you use them on social media.<br \/>\nThey are literally one of the easiest ways to spot a lazy social media manager or content creator.<br \/>\nCould you not take five minutes to create a custom graphic for the content you just spent hours on?<br \/>\nCome on.<br \/>\nAll of the tips I have given you in this article will hopefully cause you to never use stock photos again.<br \/>\nBut if you have to use a boring stock image or a photo at least add a something to it!<br \/>\nIt takes exactly one minute and will upgrade your graphic immensely.<br \/>\nI mean a simple gradient can instantly make your stock photos look incredibly interesting.<br \/>\nIf you haven\u2019t heard yet, <a href=\"https:\/\/venngage.com\/blog\/graphic-design-trends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gradients are making a comeback in 2018<\/a>.<br \/>\n<u><\/u><a href=\"http:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bleacher Report<\/a>, my favorite sports site, is large brand that&#8217;s embracing gradients in a packed industry.<br \/>\nIn an industry dominated by video clips and generic action shots, they use gradients to highlight some of their longer form written content.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14518 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR.jpg\" alt=\"Bleacher Report social media design hacks\" width=\"1600\" height=\"932\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR-300x175.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR-768x447.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR-1024x596.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR-450x262.jpg 450w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR-187x109.jpg 187w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR-24x14.jpg 24w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR-36x21.jpg 36w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/BR-48x28.jpg 48w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1600\/932;\" \/><br \/>\nThey use these subtle gradients to stand out in a very busy sports world quite well. And they can own gradients as part of their social media brand too.<br \/>\nAnd all of this was done with a simple gradient, a design trick the internet loves to hate. But as we\u2019ve seen in these examples, they are a great way to add a little bit of eye-catching color to your design.<br \/>\nBut if gradients aren\u2019t your thing, you can still upgrade your raw stock photo with some interesting text.
