Since the post disappears within a day, <strong>people won\u2019t have to worry about creating a possibly embarrassing and inerasable digital footprint<\/strong> for all the world to see, for all eternity.<\/p>\n<h3>It doesn\u2019t have to be perfect&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>This is true for marketers as well. While traditional ads are shiny, professionally shot and perfect in every sense (or at least they\u2019re expected to be), ephemeral ads don\u2019t have that requirement.<br \/>\nThe <strong>quality of an ephemeral video is secondary to its content<\/strong>. For example, a smartphone-shot video of your colleagues geeking out with your company\u2019s new game console is the perfect way to create excitement in your target audience.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8230;But it has to be authentic<\/h3>\n<p>One thing you can\u2019t compromise on is authenticity. You can use the platform(s) your target audience is most active on.<br \/>\nGet creative. All these platforms provide you with tons of options to make your photos or videos unique. <strong>Filters, special effects and other fun stuff can help you create personalized content<\/strong> that really speak to your target audience.<\/p>\n<h2>Build an Effective Ephemeral Strategy<\/h2>\n<p>Are you sold on the concept? Great. Now, don\u2019t just run off with your smartphone shooting videos; you need a strategy first.<\/p>\n<h3>1. Platform<\/h3>\n<p>One of the drawbacks of ephemeral is that it only works on social media.
