You just need to make it shorter than 50 characters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Write a powerful Bio<\/strong> (160 characters max): other users will see your bio if they visit your Twitter profile, or hover over your @handle if it appears on their feed. Use it to explain the purpose of your brand with clear and simple words. We also advise that you insert relevant <a href=\"https:\/\/paper.dropbox.com\/?q=%23hashtags\"><\/a>#hashtags in your Twitter bio so that you can be found more easily when users look for it using the search bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select a Location (30 characters max): The Moon, Mars, the Grand Canyon, or somewhere in the middle of the Pacific, &#8230; this can be anything. Rather than seeking high engagement, many brands mostly try their best to help and satisfy their prospects and customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, some features can help you increase your engagement, for example, Twitter polls. It can help you to understand followers&#8217; behaviors, needs, and ideas. TTs give you opportunities to jump on trends and events as they are happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But so do millions of other users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, more often than not, the trending topics are either completely irrelevant to your business and Twitter audience, linked to political scandals, or worse, to tragedies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We find that the best way for brands to identify<strong> trends that are relevant to them<\/strong> is to use a <a href=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/en\/blog\/social-listening\/\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/en\/blog\/social-listening\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">social listening tool<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/en\/blog\/social-listening\/\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/en\/blog\/social-listening\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Social listening<\/a> will show you what&#8217;s being said on social media, without you having to go looking for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"experiment-with-twitter-chats\">Experiment with Twitter Chats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/experiment-with-twitter-chats.mp3\"><\/audio><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Listen: Experiment with Twitter Chats<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;re all trying to get more followers on our social media channels. While we don&#8217;t host one <em>at the moment<\/em>, we love the format, and we know our core audience does too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twitter chats are a great way to federate your community around the topics that collectively matter for you, and them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s an interesting format to follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weekly 30-40 minutes Twitter ChatPick a hashtag &#8211; could be #[YourBrand]TWChat and use it for <strong>each tweet<\/strong> you post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Introduction<\/strong> (5 min): <em>Introduce the topic of the day (we recommend that you stick to one central topic for each occurrence of the Twitter Chat) and say hello to those interacting with you. Also, you must remind the attendees to use your #[YourBrand]TWChat to join the conversation.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A<strong>sk 1 question every 5 minutes<\/strong>: <em>This should leave you time to discuss answers with the audience &#8211; and it leaves time for the audience to post interesting comments and comebacks! For the best results, we recommend that you schedule your question tweets in advance.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Conclude the chat, announcing the topic for the next one<\/strong> <em>(if you have one): At this stage, you must get back to all those who joined your event. Like a standard Tweet, it can be retweeted, liked, etc. It looks like a regular Tweet, except that it is labeled as &#8220;Promoted&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Promoted Tweets appear in the feed of targeted users, on user profiles, at the top of search results, and in the Twitter app for mobile and desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Promoted Accounts<\/strong>: A promoted account allows you to sponsor your Twitter account to your targeted Twitter users who are not yet following you, but who may be interested in your content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They show off in potential followers&#8217; feeds, in their account suggestions, and search results. They include a &#8220;Follow&#8221; button and are marked as promoted accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Promoted trends<\/strong>: On Twitter, Trending Topics (TTs) are the topics that users talk about the most on the platform. They appear on the user feed, in the Explore tab, and the Twitter app. A promoted trend allows you to move a hashtag to the top of this list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clicking on your promoted trend takes users to a list of results related to the topic. Of course, this list starts with one of your promoted tweets. As users pick up your hashtag, you&#8217;ll increase your visibility and expand the reach of your campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have to say that Twitter Ads&#8217; interface is very user-friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When creating promoted tweets for a new Twitter ad, you&#8217;re being asked &#8211; in a very clear manner &#8211; about what you&#8217;re trying to achieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"625\" data-src=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Guide-Twitter-Marketing-twitter-ads-1024x625.png\" alt=\"Guide-Twitter-Marketing-twitter-ads\" class=\"wp-image-35267 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Guide-Twitter-Marketing-twitter-ads-1024x625.png 1024w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Guide-Twitter-Marketing-twitter-ads-300x183.png 300w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Guide-Twitter-Marketing-twitter-ads-768x469.png 768w, https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Guide-Twitter-Marketing-twitter-ads.png 1173w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1024px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1024\/625;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can then target Twitter users based on their age, gender, location, the device used, OS version, and personal interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note that, from experience, Twitter is not the best platform to get a high engagement rate, but you&#8217;ll definitely get a lot of eyeballs on your content and increase your brand awareness.<\/em> <em>Just keep an eye on your Twitter analytics.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"make-use-of-twitter\u2019s-direct-messages\">Make use of Twitter\u2019s <em>Direct Messages<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/mention.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/make-use-of-twitter-direct-messages.mp3\"><\/audio><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Listen: Make use of Twitter\u2019s Direct Messages<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The last feature we&#8217;ve decided to highlight in this guide is Twitter&#8217;s Direct Messages (DMs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DMs are extremely useful for brands and are valuable for a successful Twitter marketing strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the one hand, they allow you to reach out to brands and influencers you&#8217;d like to work with. On the other hand, it&#8217;s a privileged and private communication channel with your followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot of brands encourage their clients and users to use DMs if and when they raise a complaint.
