Online brand performance score

The score is calculated by taking the average of KPIs of the brands we analyzed. This includes: volume of mentions, engagement, influence, and sentiment.

Volume of mentions

When monitoring volume of mentions, you’ll want to look at the sudden or irregular increases or decreases over time.

Sources of mentions

The biggest sources of the mentions for retailers come from Twitter, news, and blogs; mediums such as Facebook and videos represent very little of conversations about them.

We ranked brands based on their sentiment, ratio which looks like this: sentiment ratio = (positive mentions) / (total mentions - neutral mentions)

Reach

Reach is the sum of all the interactions a person has with a brand’s content.

Influence

Influence data is collected from Twitter and Instagram: it takes into account each brand’s community size, engagement level, and how influential the people mentioning the brands are.

Top Hashtags

If you attach hashtags to your brand campaigns, measure the volume of your hashtag pre, during, and post launch in order to gauge its impact.

Engagement

Engagements is essentially what you get when you combine the number of likes and the number of retweets.
