If you’re not already familiar, Swayy.co is a content curation platform that pulls the most popular content among your social networks (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), with the ability to filter by topic.

At Mention, we use Swayy for ideation and to see what’s trending among our networks and communities at any given time.

The team at Swayy has also been able to leverage Mention to cut through the noise and achieve an impressive reaction time when communicating with their community.

Cutting through the noise

When content is shared from Swayy’s platform via Twitter, a tweet is automatically populated that includes the company’s handle @getswayy. Although users have the ability to edit this, most don’t.

With Mention, the Swayy team filters out the “via @getswayy” communications so they’re only monitoring direct communications with the brand and will be immediately alerted if a community member has an issue.

Lior Degani, Swayy’s Co-Founder shared with me that because he’s always on the go, he relies heavily on the Mention mobile app. He reacts as soon as he receives a notification, as he highly values the importance of a quick reaction time and being attentive to a brand’s community. As a result, the Swayy community shows their appreciation, encouraging him to keep it up.

How to join the conversation

When Lior sees a conversation that he should jump in about their product or value (when someone has an issue that Swayy would solve, for example), he introduces himself and the product, explains how happy he would be if they joined, and that he would really love their feedback.

He suggests that if you’re ever faced with the opportunity to join in a conversation with a potential customer or community member, to mention their first name. In his experience, every time he has done so, the person has given Swayy a try.

He adds that it’s important to track your followers and fans to provide you with better content that you can then use to better understand your community and share with others.

His last words of advice were, “Be there, be active, show up to the conversation as fast as you can, and engage with everyone.”
